House in Ypsoupoli – Limassol

Our concept idea:
The site area is located on a slight slope near Ypsonas village having on its skyline a nice view of the seaside. The house has a circular dynamic shape making the building an area landmark. The exertion of that shape made the perfect amount of sunlight usage, possible. Actually the upper U shape seats – rotated on the lower U shape by a central interlinked hole. The dynamic rotation is supported by two double curved  dynamic surfaces, on the upper volume.

The ground floor is consisted by a living room, a dining room, kitchen and guest room . Also there is a terrace which connects the internal with the external space. The top floor is consisted three  bedrooms and at the external a big terrace.

It is important to mention the “sky view hole” which provides several functions to that house area. Firstly it creates a ventilation flood, which in turn creates a  natural air-condition mechanism. The great thing with that space is that you have vertical and horizontal views to the sky and to the sea while you are actually sitting  in the center space of the house, making that area look like a small paradise within the house. In the night sky, it provides a magnificent sky view as it stops the light pollution effect from taking place.
